Raman Spectroscopy of Graphene & Graphene Oxide

An interactive atlas of the nine-band deconvolution model. Click any peak in the spectrum or a tab below to explore its vibrational origin, the physics it encodes, and how to use it diagnostically — cross-checked against the primary literature.
9 deconvoluted bands First-order ~1000–1650 cm⁻¹ Second-order ~2300–3300 cm⁻¹ G* band placed at ~2450 (fixed)
This atlas uses the graphene-oxide 9-band deconvolution. The second-order G* (D+D″) band is placed at its correct ~2450 cm⁻¹ position (matching your measured data); the ~2850–2920 cm⁻¹ region is sp³ C–H stretching, not a lattice phonon band. Corrected / updated items carry a red note and references.

Citation counts (badges) are from Semantic Scholar, retrieved Jul 2026 — Google Scholar figures are typically higher. Every source is well cited; the foundational reviews exceed several thousand citations, confirming reputability. Green badges mark ≥2,000 citations.
Built for reference use. Peak positions are representative and shift with excitation wavelength, strain, doping, layer number and oxidation degree — always calibrate against a known standard.
